I spent this past weekend in Barcelona, continuing to explore. On Friday, some friends and I had free tickets (through our program) to go on a bus tour of part of the city. On the tour, we drove by Gaudi's houses, Sagrada Familia, Park Guell, Camp Nou (FC Barcelona futbol stadium), among other places. We stopped at Park Guell to walk around and check it out, after which we got back on the bus and continued on.
My roommates and I slept in on Saturday and then went to one of the most delicious (and American) meals I have had. We had big gourmet burgers at this place we pass every day on the way to school. We walked off the burgers around Las Ramblas, stopping to look at all of the fruit and treats at the market. On the way home, we stopped to have some gelato. A friend of mine from camp, Hannah, was visiting Barcelona so I met up with her and her friends Saturday night. It was so great to see a familiar face after the past few weeks of meeting new people. Sunday was a pretty laid back day. I went to a cafe to work on some homework, had lunch with my roommate, and went for a run through Placa de Espanya.
